This annual art competition was first held in 2013 to recognize the diversity of Australian artistic talent living and working in the Greater New York area.
The Challenge for creative Australians is to create a body of work using any medium that encompasses three elements: Australia, Community and New York.
Previous winner of the Creative Challenge: “One Day I’ll Come Home” performed by Tam Hansson and produced by Greg Daniels.
“Art is very subjective, so the winner will be decided by popular vote from amongst the thousands of our members living in New York” says James Boland, the Founder and President of The Australian Community.
“This year we are very excited to again be awarding a $500 cash prize to the winner along with prizes to the two runners up at our awards ceremony on Wednesday November 15, 2017”.
On Thursday March 9 The Australian Community hosted the launch of this year’s competition at One Art Space.
If you are an Australian citizen and living in the Greater New York area, you can register and receive a copy of the Creative Challenge Terms and Conditions using the form below.
Entries are now being accepted and must be received by the October 1st 2017 deadline.
