The 2018 Creative Challenge Art Competition

The Australian Community Creative Challenge was first held in 2013 to recognize the diversity of Australian artistic talent living and working in the Greater New York area.

The Challenge for creative Australians living in New York is to create a body of work – using any medium – that encompasses three elements: Australia, Community and New York.

“Art is very subjective, so the winner will be decided by popular vote from amongst the thousands of our members living in New York” says James Boland, the Founder and President of The Australian Community.

Our 2017 Winner was Kurt Sneddon with “Australian Flag Raising NYC”

“This competition is an opportunity for any Australian artist living in the Greater New York area to receive recognition from other Australians, no matter what art medium they choose” says James.

If you are an Australian artist living in the Greater New York Area, you can complete the form below and receive the Competition rules and details of the $500 cash prize for first place.

“This year we are very excited to again be awarding a $500 cash prize to the winner along with prizes to the two runners up at our awards ceremony on Thursday November 8, 2018”.

On Thursday March 22 The Australian Community hosted the launch of this year’s competition at One Art Space.
