For more than a decade The Australian Community has assisted Australians and Australian businesses in their transition to America. However, the real impact of our social, professional, and charitable achievements has gone mostly unnoticed.
This is all about to change with the assistance of James Albis, the Director of Revenue at Rubenstein Public Relations. James is one of the most “Australian Friendly” publicists you will meet. His experience and understanding of our mission are invaluable assets in spreading the good news about our 2022 initiatives.
Rubenstein Public Relations
James’ connection to the land down under began over 25 years ago. He landed in Sydney and was so amazed by its surrounding natural beauty. He spent over four years in Australia and in that time lead a company that floated on the ASX, working for the Sydney 2000 ParaOlympic Games as their VP of Sales, and completing his dual MBA from The Australian Graduate School of Management and The University of Sydney. In Sydney, he met the woman who would become his future wife.
Australia has provided James with a world of experience, education, and love, for which he is grateful, and wants to reciprocate in kind the gifts the country has given him through assisting the Australian Community.
Below is an interview we recently recorded with James from Rubenstein Public Relations.
The Australian Community has provided James with more than just a networking opportunity, but a warm and open environment to stay close to Australia. Not only is James assisting the Australian Community with its Public Relations and Communications needs but several Australian companies. One such example is a biopharma company, which went public on the ASX and recently retained Rubenstein Public Relations to establish a presence in the U.S. market.
James’ goal is to help Australian companies develop Public Relations programs that will help distinguish, position, and amplify their brands.
Led by veteran publicist, Richard Rubenstein, Rubenstein Public Relations was named on the inaugural Forbes list of America’s Best PR Agencies 2021 with a five-star rating for delivering brand-tipping campaigns and the highest level of service to clients with a focus on strategic messaging development, high-impact media programs, and thought leadership positioning.

About The Australian Community
Based in New York City and now in our tenth year, our 501(c)(3) organization was formed specifically to connect professional Australians in America. Over the past decade, The Australian Community has assisted tens of thousands of Australians in New York and across America.
In addition to our public social media, our members connect through a private Enterprise Social Network. Our network facilitates 1:1 connections. Most importantly, it contains the largest private Australian knowledge base in North America.
Therefore, whether you are an Australian in New York or another U.S. city, our non-profit services can connect you with other professional Australians to help you achieve your business goals.
If you are an Australian living in or moving to America, you can join The Australian Community.
