As you may have read on our website, the Australian Community is a public charity. Our Mission to connect Australians living in the United States through professional, social, and charitable initiatives.
Australians connect with our organization for many reasons. They include avoiding ex-pat pitfalls, attending our events, expanding their Australian professional networks, or simply making new friends.
In New York, our social gatherings and members-only networking events are a great opportunity to meet other professional Australians living in New York.
Since our inception in 2011, we have assisted tens of thousands of Australian ex-pats in their transition to the U.S. Our book Moving to the U.S. for Aussies provides an insight into many ex-pat challenges, as well as how to overcome them.
We offer real-world financial solutions such as a preferred rate on foreign exchange that is more competitive than the leading online service. Also, we can assist Australians in quickly opening U.S. bank accounts or access and build US credit.

Once we receive payment, Australian Citizens will be invited to connect with our Private Social Network. Our network connects more than 1,000 Australians living in the U.S. to our member knowledge base.
Members of our private network can join more than two dozen groups covering Accounting to Visas, as well as social and charitable initiatives within our organization. Members only receive updates from the groups to which they belong, so this keeps email “noise” to a minimum.
