The Australian and New Zealand Consulates-General, New York will co-host an ANZAC Day Dawn Service and ANZAC Day Church Service.
Join Other Australians as we commemorate ANZAC Day NYC 2025 with a Dawn Service commencing at 5:45 AM. Following the Dawn Service you are also welcome to attend a Church Service at Trinity Church on Broadway in Lower Manhattan.

Importantly, ANZAC Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand. ANZAC Day broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders “who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations” and “the contribution and suffering of all those who have served”.
Further, it is also a day to celebrate the ANZAC spirit of Mateship that forms part of Australia’s national identity.
History of ANZAC Day
April 25th marked the landing on the beaches of Gallipoli in 2015. Therefore, ANZAC Day honors the memory of bravery of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (the ANZACs) who participated in that bloody and futile campaign.
The acronym ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. Most importantly, ANZAC Day is a national occasion celebrated by Australians and New Zealanders around the world.
